GETTING STUFF DONE – Bruce’s Productivity Book

Posted on 10 October 2011

I have been working on a book on productivity this year – from the perspective of a music fan.

It’s kind of a personal experiment and one I’ve been taking with a keen sense of seriousness.

My theory is this(and it’s nothing particularly original, granted):  If one stays focused on ‘what truly matters’ and lines of the right kind of mindset, driven focus and surrounds himself/herself with the right tools and resources to get things done, it results in:  more time to do the thing we value most.

Some of that time, many of us would like a bit more quality time to listen to music and not have it chisel into time with our family and friends.

So, that’s my reason.  That’s the experiment.

If I can help myself and, most importantly, YOU to get to that place, then I’m a happy, more fulfilled man.

I’m going to post the working document of the book as I finish it.

I’m writing a bit every day and, as it moves forward, share it with you. Kind of crazy and wacky, yes.  But I want to get this bugger done and by posting it here, it keeps me accountable to you and forces me to utilize some of the principles I have found that working for me this year.

Download and check out PART ONEHERE

(this is a MS Word document)

I’ll post Part Two next week and let you know.

Feel free to share your thoughts, ideas with what’s work well for you and critique below.  Keep in mind, despite writing over 10,ooo reviews on the Not Lame site over the years, I am not a writer.

I just write because, well, I do and enjoy it.

Thanks Bruce! Yes, as I’ve grown older (47), time is what I can never have enough of. I’ve got so many interests and things I want to learn. I am having problems prioritizing them! Work, family, kids’ activities, etc., etc.

I’ve been doing a lot of research into making the most of precious time. Your words and efforts here are much appreciated!
