  1. R.B. Gautier II says:

    Dear Bruce,

Thanks for once again bringing some great music to the forefront. Two quick observations on this installment:

    1) Until the original Albums escape PGHers can pick-up the 2010 release of Hilly’s Pop This! CD. Described as follows on his web site-“Hilly’s latest collection of amazing, fun power pop music includes lost works and demos from the wild MTV-laden eighties. This CD, produced by Hilly, includes the genious of UK’s Kevin James Hook and his musical hocus pocus. Packed with backups from some of rock’s most noted musicians and singers. Two years in the making and guaranteed to satisfy!!!” And from CD Baby-“Like candy. This former WB’s, MTV, pop star has finally released something sweet. Influenced by his former bands including Sparks, Hunter/Ronson, Dan Hartman and others, these unreleased lost & found demos span 35 years of artist’s fave music”.

    2) As to the Dodgers, while they certainly don’t live up to the quality of the great BADFINGER (not much does) I always found them to be a worth while listen. Let’ just hope that someday we see a proper release of the LP! And if done right, it will include the two singles that were released before Tommy’s ouster from the band.
