THE SURPRISE BOX

Back in 1999, my old label, Not Lame Recordings released one of the most important releases in short history of the label, at the point.  “At Least, At Last” was a 4 CD box set that compiled demos and live recordings from the Posies from 1987-1998.

For fans, it was the ultimate document of the band.  Not copiled or made for the general market, it was strictly for the serious fan of the band and to please them(and the band).

We pulled it off very nicely, I think.  It sold out of its pressing of 2,000 copies very quickly and, today, it’s a moderate rarity on Ebay and Amazon, fetching around $100.  It’s been out of print for almost 12 years but the band and its principles, Ken Stringfellow and Jon Auer are still very much active so I wanted to share with you below one track from each of the four CDs below in order to point you towards what is, presently, going on with the band because they all continue to make music that matters and highlights their continual creative evolution.  (links at the end of this post)
