VIDEO – See What’s In Bruce’s Amazon Order

Posted on 17 December 2011

Okay, quick post and video.

I have been waiting for a week to open these boxes – just did not have the time and I wanted to shoot this video for you when I opened the boxes and went through it all because, well, I thought it might be fun!

I had a few surprises that came up as I went through everything – you gotta play it find out what I did.  It was really lame ‘n stupid – but, sadly, ‘typical Bruce’ – and I think some of you will relate to my mistakes.

It’s 17 minutes so play if you are looking for a diversion from whatever task you’ve been avoiding or are bored silly.

Please share your thoughts and hazings with what I bought(when you play the video, you will see how I open myself up to shock ‘n ridicule).   Share with us all what YOU bought for yourself for Christmas!!

Bruce, we are enjoying you site here in Potland Oregon. On of our fans posted a video from our last show (12-08-2011) on youtube. not bad for a phone shot… it made me think that it would be gret to have a “forum” where pop fans could post video links from show’s they see…..

I like that idea – not sure how to make it look. THAT is where I need a WordPress expert to help me out to make it work well and properly….volunteers?!?

Btw, folks: the band THE CRY(who posted below here) have absolutely made on of 2011’s very best releases – a review from Mike Baron will be posting here on Monday and, hopefully, we’ll have some tracks to share in The Surprise Box and/or monthly compilation!

    Santa dudeman,

Don’t have the Phil Seymour! Am I the first caller?

  4. dudeman says:

Congrats to Paul Simpson who won the prize and was the first to play the above video all the way through and..pay attention! ;-P He receives a free copy of Phil Seymour’s ‘new’ CD, which is a CD that contains is second album and tons of bonus trax!

I may ramble but the pay off can be huge! ;-P

    Hey Bruce,

Sitting here watching you open your Amazon purchases connects with me. I have landed about 50 discs in the last couple of weeks as my birthday/Christmas presents to myself and it also blows me away that some are the same as in your snaffu.

Lots of heavy listening this Chrismas for I both I think – keep up the good work and God Bless.

Thanks for making feel a bit better! I’m glad, though, that I was able to gift Paul and my friend w/ the Rascals CD! So goodwill to all geeks all around! 😀

Finally got around to watching this video. My biggest surprise was the Dust CDs as I have been a fan since the albums debuted back in the early 70’s . Another Dust factoid is that Kenny Kerner went on to produce the first “Kiss” album back in ’73……….
Really enjoyed watching the video as it reminded me that my Amazon Wish Lists (Canada & USA) are growing as I haven’t ordered for many months now…..

That’s a great tidbit w/ Kerner, Ron! I did NOT know that but I certainly can place his name in the cotnext of that album b/c I picked that one up around ’75 – I remember getting a copy of “Hotter Than Hell” by subscribing to CREEM magazine around the same time. $5 for Creem and a early Kiss album – that’s value!

      Or inflation.

Like watching a kid in a candy store. 🙂

“Sailing, takes me away…” I confess I was a fan too. It might be fun to have a post where we admit to other geeks what musicians you have in your music collection that you don’t normally admit to your music geek friends. The ones you play when no one else is around. A friend of mine started a private message thread like this on facebook among fellow music snobs and it was quite fun. The more honest the more fun.
